ALL residential recycling will be picked up every other week

Parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all streets within this Town between 3:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. During snowstorm or emergency, parking is prohibited "at all times" to allow plows or emergency vehicles clear passage.
THE DEPOSITING OF SNOW ON HIGHWAYS OR SHOULDERS PROHIBITED
Section 1219 of the Vehicle & Traffic Law and Section 214 of the Highway Law of New York State, specifically prohibit the plowing or blowing of snow, ice or other substance, upon any highway (which includes pavement, shoulders and ditches).
All Snow Plow Owners must obtain a Business License Annually
All Paving and Concrete Companies must obtain a Business License Annually
Business Licenses are obtained through the BUILDING DEPARTMENT
Permits are required for both driveway and culvert installations or repairs obtained at the
HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR GARBAGE PICKUP:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When the Holiday is on a WEEKDAY every pickup FOLLOWING a holiday will be delayed until the next day. If a Holiday falls on a weekend, there will be no delays in pickup. If a Holiday that falls on a Thursday (Thanksgiving) only Thursday and Friday will be a day later.

SANITATION RULES & REGULATIONS:
Each household in the Town is allowed no more than 10 bags (50lb max each bag), and one (1) bulk item per week (couch, bundled wood, chair, mattress, etc.) Loose piles of debris cannot be picked up. Trash should be placed at roadside no more than 12 hours before your scheduled pickup and no later than 6 a.m. the day of pickup. If you have a ditch, place materials between the road and the ditch. Bags must be secured and tied and placed in garbage receptacles with handles.
PAINT PICKUP:
Paint will be picked up only if lid is removed, and paint dried out using either kitty litter, or another harding agent.
SANITATION CANNOT PICKUP:
Any electronic items (refrigerators/air conditioners/tvs/computers), tree stumps, pesticides, oils, flammable liquids, explosive material, animal carcasses, industrial waste, contractor materials, tires, car batteries, household and power tool batteries.
CONTRACTING AND/OR REMODELING DEBRIS:
Modern Disposal will NOT pick up any contractor or remodeling debris. Removal will be at the contractors or homeowners expense.
LEAF PICKUP
Leaf pickup will tentatively commence November 1 through the first snowfall. Pickup is done on a regular basis. This is a FALL leaf pickup program.

SUGGESTIONS:
Call METALICO at 716-284-8729 for refrigerators/air conditioners/freezers or anything containing Freon.
Paint cannot be picked up unless you fill it with kitty litter or oil-dry to make it a solid substance & mark “solid”.
Wood can only be picked up by Allied if bundled, and no bigger than 3x3.
If you have a tree removed, the contractor is responsible for the debris and stump.
If you have branches no longer than 5' and 4” in diameter, the Town chipper truck will pick them up if you call the Highway Clerk.
